Embassy Festival takes over the Lange Voorhout in The Hague on Saturday 5 September 2026, from 12:00 to 20:00. For one day, the avenue becomes a cultural journey through music, dance, food, crafts and traditions from around the world.

Yes. Entrance is free, so you can simply walk in and start exploring. No ticket, no boarding pass — your one-day world trip starts at the Lange Voorhout.

Definitely. Embassy Festival is made for all generations. Children can discover cultures through performances, activities and the free Activity Passport — collecting stamps, stories and surprises as they travel around the International Market.

Come hungry. The International Market brings together flavours from across the world, with participating countries and organisations serving traditional food and drinks alongside crafts, demonstrations and cultural encounters. What is on offer differs from stand to stand — exploring is half the fun.

We would rather you leave the picnic at home. Food and drink are a big part of the Embassy Festival experience, and the International Market gives you plenty of reasons to try something new along the way.

The festival bars and toilets are card-only. At the International Market, each participant handles its own sales, so payment options vary from stand to stand: some may accept card, some cash, and some both. Bringing your bank card and a little cash keeps your options open.

Yes. Toilets, including wheelchair-accessible facilities, are available at the festival. Please note that payment for the toilets is by card only.

Yes. Embassy Festival takes place in public space, so dogs are welcome. Keep your dog on a lead and keep an eye on whether your four-legged travel companion is enjoying the trip too — crowds, music and drums are not every dog’s idea of a great festival day.

If it rains, you may get wet — Embassy Festival is an outdoor festival and the day will go ahead in the rain. If the rain becomes heavy, some performances may need to be adapted, delayed or cancelled.

Walk, cycle or take public transport if you can. The Lange Voorhout sits right in the heart of The Hague, so your world trip can start without getting into a car.

Absolutely. Please use one of the designated bicycle parking facilities nearby. Biesieklette lists current locations and opening hours; Noordeinde is one of the nearby options. Bike parking directly around the festival is limited, so please do not attach your bike to festival fences or structures. Bicycles, mopeds and scooters are not allowed on the festival grounds.

The Lange Voorhout is around a 10-minute walk from The Hague Central Station.
